About Us
Amy Terhorst, Principal
Amy began her work in the meeting and event industry in the late 1980’s working in the Organizational Development field developing and delivering management and interpersonal relationship training in the Finance and Aerospace industries. From there, she went into the hospitality industry working with conference and resort hotels as a Sales Manager and meeting organizer. In 2001, she began planning and production of nationwide trade shows in the biotech industry which led her to the creation of her own company in 2001, Empire Events. She has a special skill of taking a concept and making it a real thing through uncovering all of the detail needed for implementation. Amy holds a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) credential with the Convention Industry Council and is an active member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International).
